Getting started

When you first get in touch, we will find a mutually convenient time for a consultation. This initial meeting lasts for 50 minutes and will give us the opportunity to discuss the issues that affect you the most and how you hope therapy can help. It is an opportunity for you to see if I might be the right therapist for you.

The initial consultation costs £20.

If we agree that we can work together, we will also discuss other matters such as fees, confidentiality, cancellation of sessions and holiday times. We will also agree a day and time to meet each week.

Sessions last 50 minutes, and your sessions will be your space until the therapy endsYou can find information about fees, including reduced rates for those on a low income, on this page.

If you decide that I am not the right therapist for you, there is no obligation to continue after the initial consultation. Equally, if I don’t believe that I am the most appropriate therapist for you, I will discuss this with you and give you details for other therapists or services that might be more suitable.

Making the first contact

It doesn’t always feel easy reaching out and opening up when you feel most affected by problems. And speaking to someone you don’t even know may make that first call or message such a daunting task. I understand these difficulties and I will make sure that we take the time that you need to make you feel at ease.
